From Lettuce to Basil

I have noticed that it has been three weeks (a little over in fact) since I planted the lettuce seeds and I only have one sprout, which has yet to grow any lager. I did some research and talked to a few people who have green thumbs and managed to conclude that the lettuce seeds either expired or I planted them wrong. Either way, I had to scrap that attempt. I resorted to Basil, known for sprouting after only 7 days of being planted. I planted the seeds (3 in each hole) the same as I did the lettuce (with vermiculite and placed in rockwool cubes). I also planted three seeds each in pots with soil to test if the rock wool starter cubes are actually the issue. Hopefully one of these two ways will produce bail and then I can begin to test the hydroponic system! I will continue to water these seeds regularly and hopefully

by next week they will be ready to transfer.
